Can not you arrange some way to satisfy Amos Babcock about his Reg. I fear he will not give me his support

I want you by all means to get his Reg removed from Peoria before Election they estimate that there is from 800 to 900 Democrats in that Babcock Fulton Co. Reg. If allowed to remain in Peoria they will obtain furlough & go home to vote.

That will beat me, & also Capt. Boyd who is a Candidate for Rep. from Fulton with a fair show of election if those votes are kept away. You must have them moved if only to Camp Butler in Alton, or Louisvill, Capt Boyd will be for you if elected.

I think Fuller has misrepresented you to Babcock. He is a mean sort of a man any way. Yours Truly Geo. II Bergen
