Dear Sir

At Corinth the Rebels captured several soldiers belonging to the Eleventh Illinois Cavalry, they were paroled and sent this way. While quartered in the Park Barracks awaiting transportation to springfield several of them got drunk were arrested and taken to Rikers Island. While under the influence of liquor they were induced to Enlist in a New York Regiment and received fifty dollars bounty which has been spent. The authorities have called my attention to it. What shall I do in the matter.
