Hon Governor Yates

Dera Sir I have no permanent imployment for this comeing Summer and I was thinking that perhaps you could give me a chance to do Something in the War line but in the first place I will not play private Soldier that is under the most officers there is Some that I might but if I had one hundred of the Right kind of men I could do more to cripple Cecession than has been done by any fifty thousand troops in the last Six months provided I could have my own Way and have the necessaries furnished. Dear Sir if you have any kneed of my Servises I am ready or could be in a few Days provided the pay is Sufficient I could Send on a long string of names to Back up an Application for an Appointment but I do not do Business in that Way if I should get a place of trust I Would discharge my duty to the best of my ability Without Regards to person or place this is all I have to Say if you have a place to give me you can Direct as headed above

Yours Respectfuly

V.C. Frankeberger
