I have Received yours of the 13th inst. I send enclosed four fifty cent stamps which I request you to affix to the following Certificates to wit

Heirs of Sheldon Cadwell

Elijah Rice

Timothy Conden

Heirs of Peter Malley

which you kindly offered to do

In refference to stamps upon Patents for lands issued by the Governor Will you please ascertain

what will be considered a proper cancelling thereof and get the Governor to authorise me to do it so that the patentees can have the stamps affixed if the wish at their own expense I know of some who want it done in that way. Please advise me on that subject
