Dear Sir:

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your favor of the 21st ult. in reply I beg leave to say to your honor that my address proper is as per above. I make this announcement so that if my application for Clerkship meet with favor at your hand or the Gov, which you "inform me is filed for future consideration," you may announce the same to me, hoping that you will do so, should my services be required.
