Govener Yates, Dear Sir I address a few lines to you this evening to ask your assistance My Husband David H Anderson enlisted this last August in the 86 Regiment Com D he has lain sick all of that time with the exceptions of four months he is now sick again he has the consumption and I would like to have you give him a discharge he has tried to obtain a discharge but has failed and I thought that instead of letting him lay there and die I would try and see if you would assist me please to let me know if you will do so Yours truly Mrs Amanda Anderson
