The bearer Josiah Parrot Sr and James H Parrot citizens of this Co. desire to visit Nashville on a visit to Geo W. Parrott 2nd Lieut Co. G. 16th Ills. and may need some assistance in passing from Louisville to Nashville. They are now & always have been loyal citizens and you may perhaps have some acquaintance with the elder as he has been for many years resident in this place Any assistance you can render them will be duly appreciated by them as well as your friend & obt. servt
