To the Hon. Governor Yates of Ill.

I send this at your request, as a reminder, to tell you sir, how much I desire to labour in my countrys cause, is that, I will go at once wherever you will direct, or whenever, in a very short notice, hoping you may in very short time fit up about you spoke of, and had sent Adjt Fuller, to learn the particulars, I am yours sincerly & patiently
