To his Excelency Governor Yates

Sir I am a member of Co K 79th Regt Ills Inft Vol Enlisted and Mustered in to the Servis at Camp Terry Coles Co Ills on the 28th day of Aug 1862 I am fifty Six years of age the 6th day of the present month and have Served in Said Regt up to the 31st day of Dec 1862 when I recd a hurt in my hips by being run over by some cavalry and I have not been able to do a Single days duty Since and I wish to know if a man is entitled to a discharge under the Circumstances mentioned above

I have Spoken to my Company Comander Concerning my Case who has given me little or no satisfaction

you will Oblige by answering on receipt of this
