Kind sir

I take this present opportunity of writing you a few lines concerning my husband he is in the 118 rigment compny B he was wonded the first day of may in both lages i understood that it was your orders for them to come north if it is in your power to send him to quincy or keokuk it is my wishes for you to due so i would rather you would send him to keokuk as that is the nerdest to whair i live so that i could have the privledge of seing him and taking care of him i would like to know if he is able to come up north if he isnent i will try and go down it will be very unhandy for me to go down thair for i have two small children please send him if it is in your power i think he would get along beter if he was up her please write and let me know if you will send him it is nine months since i seen him
