My Dear Mrs Yates

I received your very welcome letter and the beautiful Book marks. Some of dear Katies sold as high as a dollar apiece. All sold well, and were highly appreciated I have been constantly looking to see you, although you have given no encourgment. Yourself and the Govnor are certainly needed and would be most welcome. Our little rooms are waiting for you and the dear children. It seems to me you must come. I am not too much engrossed in the Fair, and we can have a good time seeing and visiting. We shall not leave for Colorado before the middle of the month Henry is very well and doing finely. He has for his roommate one of the

very best young men in the uni[ver]sity. He loves Henry and is anxious to serve him to the best of his ability. Dr. Burroughs and his wife are to occupy our house until we return. How long we shall be gone, we cannot tell Probably six weeks or two months. Janie and [Hery Spring?] will remain at home with them.

I do so much hope you will come. I think you would enjoy being here now, and every body would enjoy seeing you. I am ashamed that I have not acknowledged the letter and sixty dollars from the Govenor by Mr Thomas Dr Brooks bill was forty dollars, and as Henry wished to pay some bills and buy some wood and some small things and as he understood that he was to have the remainder I gave him the other twenty. I went with him and helped him to select his bookcase and

window Shades. The shades Mr W. has paid for, but the bill for the bookcase has not been presented. Mr. W. has also let him have some little money at different times, but Dr. Burrghs thinks that the boys ought not to have money to spend, excepting as they report every cent to their Parents, as it begets wants which are unnecessary.

I have dear Katie has recovered sufficiently to come. The change will do her good and sweet Dickey bless him

I looked to see if you would like to have me purchase something at the Fair for you, but hope you will come If you cannot tell me what to buy if you would like something. There is a great variety and some pretty things.

In great haste Come soon

Your long friend with love to you all

Al B. Woodworth
