Sir I take the Liberty to write a few lines to you to ask you to get my Discharge from the army the army I havent done any duty in my rigement for seven month I am disabeled for duty in my rigement from the Efects of A fistula in Ana I Am a privat in the 12th Ill Cavaly Co. "A" & my rigement has reinlisted for the war & I know you will asist me as a Mason wich I have honar to belong to the fraternity take due notice thereoff I think you hav the Power to

get me Discharged I have a family in Winnebago Co in Cherry Valley which I can do more to Support them to be with them working at my trade will you Please write as soon as you get this yours Fraternly
