Dear Gov
I last night joined Judge Parks in a letter to you recommending Mr. House the bearer of this for the appointment of Prosecuting Attorney for this Circuit. At that time I had not the time to say what I wished. I have been acquainted with Mr. House for the past five years, and he is a young lawyer, of more than ordinary promise. He is a firm political friend of ours, and I believe his appointment, will give satisfaction to your many friends here
He is energetic and will fill the appointment with credit to himself, and the satisfaction of all. He is recommended by nearly all of the Bar. And I feel, that you will be perfectly satisfied with him hereafter I hope to see you during the coming week.
Truly Yours &c
Ira A W Buck
