Dearest Friend Isabel

I rec'd your sweet flowers yesterday And your[letters?] how delighted I must have been knowing that you sometimes thoughts of me. God bless you. When your message came this morning I was still in bed waiting for the doctor to come. He came at last, but did not cut my arm. he has put it off till tomorrow.

You can not imagine how sorry I was not being able to see you. I have not----been out of the house since I saw you. but will walk up north this to see if delivered. God bless you dearest friend
