Mr Bradford

My Dear Sir:

It would afford me much pleasure to send you an autograph of Mr Lincoln---yet I have none to send---gave away all I had & could have given 10 thousand more---Commenced giving in 1860 & ended by exhaustion in 1867. You my good sir need give me no apology & all I regret is that it is not of my [power?] to accommodate you.

Yours truly,

W H Herndon
