My Dear Edwina

Your Dear Boy came to see us and delivered your letter to me. He is as you say sensitive and artistic – how could he be one without the other. He

a fine fellow – refined and modest. These qualities make friends, and later on success.

We had a pleasant day in the boat and Rod and I am sure he enjoyed himself – and so did I.

With Cordial regards to yourself

and Mr. Grossman in which my wife joins me I am

Sincerely your friend

J Jefferson
