The kindness with which you entertained my request that leave of absents be granted my husband Capt J D Lloyd of Co B 11th Mo Vols Infty has not only [won?] my gratitude but has inboldened me to ask still another favor
Should the Department at Washington refuse your request would it not be possible through Gov Gamble of Mo to obtain permission for him to return long enough to securt his health which has been much impaired by protracted service
