Gov Yates Springfield Ill

Dr Sir I am a Republican from the incipency of the party now g_. d__a_m it Can you give Democrats office & not give me I will Refer you to Col Dornblaseer Commanding Brigade or to E. B Washburne our Congressman from this district they can not take me as a private but I want to go & take some of these Democrats == give me something your can do it I have been a Republican Since 1856 it is my Right to have have something I have written you often & suppose have troubled you but our country is going to the Devil Republicans must be put in office or we are gone up I will Refer you to Hon E. B. Washburne M.C. or B Dornblaser Col 46th Ill Vol now Comdg Brigade in Tennesee. I have asked before now give me something as a Republican in the army I will do any thing you order me to do that is honorable
