To his Excelency Gov Yates

I take pleasure in reccomending to your consideration the communication of C B Miner Esq as he is one of our best Citizens & worthy of attention

Also Selden Miner his son I am well acquainted with & know that when he enlisted he had been a practicing Physician in our community for several years & highly esteemed as such - and his case as Mr Miner has stated we think is entitled to immediate attention & hope you may assist him in obtaining that relief he asks.

I would recomend that Selden Miner be permited to appear before the examing board of Phisicians for the purpose of entering the Service as assistant Surgeon

Very respectfully Yours
