I take this opportunity of asking a request. my husband is a Soldier of the 94th Ill vol and is now sick near Rolla and I wish to go and see him and as I am out of money my only way is to ask you to grant me a pass, if you could see the pine coffins that has come from our Regt. 9 within to weeks. I think you will be kind enough to grant me a pass. to go and nurse and encourage my husband so that he can do his duty here after
