Dear Sir

I have just read your proclamation convening the Legislature, the War Spirit is up among our people They are ready to march whenever you order Men of all parties say stand by the Government to the Death -

Turner wants to head a regiment and we want you to appoint him to the Command of one. He has as much pluck as any man in the NorthWest and has the ability to Command. Our people are unanimous in this matter.
