Sir:
From a long personal intimacy with J. G. True it affords me great pleasure to recommend him as in Every way worthy of the position of Commissary of the Chicago Zouave regiment. He was the most popular member of the original company of Chicago Zouaves. He is abundantly competent, of strict integrity and would become the pet of the regiment.
