Dear Sir -

Having some thought of tendering my services as chaplain to the army now volunteering for the defence of our country, and being uninformed as to the necessity for chaplains, I write for information -

Will you do me the honor to inform me whether such service will be acceptable and if so what are the conditions & demands of the chaplain service

I am pastor of the Presbyterian Church Dixon Ills - have been in the active duty of a clergyman for fifteen years. I refer you to Hon Silas Noble - James L. Camp Esqr - or John Dixon for any testimonials needed -
