Description
Nellie Sherman was a professional genealogist and historian. Mrs. Sherman attended Eastern Illinois State Teachers College and was a graduate of Brown’s Business College, Springfield and LaSalle extension university. She had a radio show on local history on WMBD,Peoria in 1948. She also lectured on local history and genealogical research. Mrs. Sherman is the author of Indian Point Pioneers, Peoria and the River, 1837-1863, Hutton Township Pioneers of Coles County, Illinois.
