Dear Sir:-

I send you herewith a copy of a paper
published by me, containing an exposition of
the K. G. C.'s or Copperhead Society. It was
exposed in this county by several repentant
men; and my object is to have it generally
circulated and published; and you will confer a favor upon the loyal men of
Missouri by having it generally circulated
in your State. The Exposition fully indicates the object of the organization; I
would be pleased to have the address
of a number of Union speakers in
your State, to whom I can send the
expose. There are some new signs
which are not in the exposition I send
you, but which I will publish soon.
Any information you may want I will
gladly furnish you. Hoping to secure your
co-operation in exposing this damnable
and treasonable Order, I remain
