</p><p>I must again trouble you to forward for me to the proper point the enclosed letters to Generals Logan & McClernand. They have reference to the change of the time of the meeting to which they are invited.
</p><p>We have stirring times, truly in Ohio. The excitement exceeds anything we have ever had. Even the stirring scenes of 1840 are eclipsed by the Union demonstrations of these days. We will teach traitors a lesson in Ohio not soon to be forgotten.
