All sold well, and were highly appreciated I have been constantly looking to see you, although you have given no encourgment. Yourself and the Govnor are certainly needed and would be most welcome. Our little rooms are waiting for you and the dear children. It seems to me you must come. I am not too much engrossed in the Fair, and we can have a good time seeing and visiting. We shall not leave for Colorado before the middle of the month Henry is very well and doing finely. He has for his roommate one of the <hr /> very best young men in the uni[ver]sity. He loves Henry and is anxious to serve him to the best of his ability. Dr. Burroughs and his wife are to occupy our house until we return. I dislike much to annoy you harrassed as you are by the duties of your Office. Although my plea is a common one. I cannot consider it a light one. My Brother was wounded in a Skirmish with the Rebels on the 11th Oct. He is now in the Field Hospital two miles in the rear of Chattanooga. he has lost a limb and like all our poor wounded soldiers is much in need of attention and will not I fear recover without I want very much to go to him but I am told that I cannot procure passes to get there. Cannot you give me encouragement or aid?
