As I informed you Cook will not like to spare him. But the public service ought to be cared for first. This Regiment consists of 10 companies of infantry and two of cavalry. The clothing camp equipage arms & are all on the way. And they are to <hr /> mustered into service of the U S on Monday next by Capt Webb. Who is furnishing the equipment. The Col presents this in person as he is very anxious to return as soon as possible as he ought to be on the ground now all the time.
