We have supplied large orders from Gen. Fremont as we believe on as good terms as any manufactory in the US. This will appear to you by our vouchers sent and now immediatily to be sent to the Ordinance Department and the subject <hr /> will be presented to you more in detail by the late Governor of the State & present Quarter Master Gen. Wood. The State not being in a condition to continue the business, I respectfully recommend that you appoint a competent man to take charge of the establishment.
