&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Today a western senator remarked that W. was trying very hard to have John promoted to Brig. Gen'l. in Regular Army.
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I will further state Washburne's friends here are all bitter enemies of yours.
