I am informed that Capt F D Preston has been recommended for the office of A Q. M. U.S.A. I desire to add my recommendation to those you have already received, and to request you to use your influence for Capt Preston.
I think the Captain possesses all the qualifications necessary for the position, and will undoubtedly, if appointed, perform the duties of his office to the entire satisfaction of his Superiors.
