I am in receipt of your letter of 7th Inst and take pleasure in signing the Circular and the other State officers also added theirs very cheerfully. I hope your effects in behalf of the orphan children of our lamented heroes will be entirely successful. It is a work which commands itself to the serious consideration of our patriotic heart and one which Heaven will bless.
