Dear Sir: Your letter making enquiry after your son's commission in 29th Regt. Colored Troops was unfortunately mislaid and not discovered until today. The commissions for the entire regt were left at Washington addressed to Col Bross who because of mismailing of his letter informing him where the package was, did not receive them until quite recently. I presume your son has ere this received his commission
