Antioch Ill
Feby 23rd 1864
Your Excellency
Governor Yates
I present myself before you once more beseeching you to grant me, if possible, the favor
I wrote you some time since concerning the vice which was existing in the world at large such as making Green Backs and other vices of a like nature which I am perfectly acquainted with having been in the Service of the United States for nearly
three years I consider it my duty as a true Soldier and Lover of the Union to do more. In order to do so it is necessary that I should be in the secret service
Please give this your early attention
