With Joseph Drennan letter [illegible] Illinois Sanitary Agency Memphis, March 18th 1864
Gov. Yates Sir I herewith return the letter written by Private Drennan to his mother. I found the writer on duty at the officer's hospital and not a fit subject for discharge. I have consulted with the secy. of the hospital and he informed me that in his present state of health, he could not discharge him. When the Medical Inspector visits this post again, I will make another effort in his favor. Respectfully Your Servant T. P. Robb
