You will on Wednesday the 7th day of September secure to be fired a salute of one hundred (100) Guns at the State Arsenal for the brilliant victories recently achieved by the gallant commanders and heroic soldiers and sailors of the Army and Navy of the United States over the rebels in the harbor of Mobile Alabama - also for the triumph of the invincible officers and soldiers of the Army


and departments of the Cumberland Tennessee and Ohio resulting in the capture of Atlanta, Georgia and discomfiture and overthrow of the rebel Army in Georgia. and for the rigor and determination of Lieutenant General Grant and the victorious armies of the Eastern Departments in prosecuting with unparalleled success the present brilliant and promising campaign in Virginie.
