Can you furnish me with transportation to the Army of the Potomac for the purpose of assiting in takeing care of the sick and wounded Soldiers with or without a commission. Please notice recomend enclosed as a surgeon from W. W. Welch 53 Ills Reg. Vol. Please favor me with an answer by return mail. Yours &c
