In reply to your communication of 31st ult. I have the honor to apprise you that the 13th & 17th Regiments Ill. Infty. have arrived for muster out. I am not regularly informed as to the coming of Regts for furlough, or muster out, and usually receive my first notice thereof from the Adj't Genl of the State.
It will give me pleasure to advise your Excellency, promptly, of all information received.
Very Respectfully, Your obt. svt.
