Company "K" 13th Ills. Inft. was enrolled on the 24th day of May 1861 and has done duty with the Regiment and drawn pay from that date, but by an error in the Muster-in Roll they appear to have been enrolled on the 25th day of June the date of Muster into the U. S. service.

I very respectfully request that you telegraph to Washington for authority to date the enrollment the 24th day of May, 1861, which is the actual date the Company was joined for duty and enrolled.
