Sir:

I am directed by His Excellency Governor Yates, to introduce Mrs Ali J Barrow of Morgan Co Ills. who avers that her son John F. Barrow, a minor, 16 years of age, has been, without her knowledge and consent enlisted as a recruit by the 113th Regt Ills Vols. and is now at Camp Butler or Yates, - Mrs B. is a widow. It is respectfully requested that the case may be investigated and if found as above represented, that the young man may be discharged
