John T. Reynolds Esqr. member of the State Sanitary Commission. S. H. Melvin Esqr. and Colonel John S. Loomis ADC &c. are hereby appointed a Commission to examine into the Sanitary condition of Camp Yates near Springfield Illinois.

They are directed and authorized to request the Commandant of said Post to furnish every facility necessary to obtain a thorough knowledge of the sanitary condition of every Department of said Camp. and to take evedence of failure of any part of the troops there stationed, to receive the care and allowances to which as soldiers in United States service, they are entitled.

The Commission will make full report of their investigations as early as possible with such

recommendations, as to what, in their opinion may be necessary to comfortably provide for troops quartered at that Post.
