     I am reliably informed that Mr C Emmerick of Co I 115th Reg't. Ills Vol. is now confined in your hospital, and that the prospects for his recovery are doubtful.  Application has been made to me by his father for his discharge.  I would request you to examine him and if consistent with the interests of the army assist him in getting his discharge
