Sir:
Your letter of the 29th July is before me, promising me assistance whenever you can aid me.
My object in addressing you at present is to ask you Assist me in procuring the Situation or position of an Assistant Door Keeper to Some of the Galleries in the next Congress. My reasons for asking for this position, I will not repeat, as they have been laid before you, and I Suppose you are acquainted with my circumstances, Will you aid me with your influence? in any manner your mind may Suggest, and advise me of any Steps I Should take in this case.
