Dear Sir
Please find letter from Hon J. T. Ward of this city
And allow me to say in addition that Capt Dunn was in the Service of the United States when drowned and that he has ever been One of the Most loyal and active supporters of the Government and of the Administration ever he is or was a Member of the Loyal League and of the Strong Band we are very anxious to bring the body home for burial and if the request should be perfectly proper I would be glad to get an order for transportation for myself and for the body or for the body alone if this can not be done will you please give me a letter that will enable me to go to Natchez and obtain the body if there should any objections arise along the way to my doing so--
As Mr Dunn has in the Service of the

Country I cannot see any impropriety in granting my request if it is done to others in like Circumstances
