                   I desire Your influence with Col Oakes for the Removal of Capt Fitteran. there has gone uplong petitions also charges and Affidavits to Substanciate the Charges I hope you will interest your Self in this at once as it is important that he be removed to give confidence and quiet to the public mind in this Disct  I hope I shall have the pleasure Soon of Seeing you,  you may not Remember Me personally, but I was the only diligate from this part of the State that stood by you first and last in the state convention at Decatur  Our portion of the State as you remember was for Swett- will you give Your influence in the above and much Oblige
