I cannot imagine why you have refused to answer My two last letters asking your recommendation to the Secy of the Treasury for My Appointment as "Revenue Agent"

If you are willing to aid me I cannot see why I do not hear from you. I hear many things here and occasionally see some movveings on the Political Chess board that might be of interest to you Look out or you will be beaten
