You will probably remember of taking a memorandum of Money Clothing to that was taken from me when I was taken prisoner at Holly Springs.= You thought that goverment would make me which I have just returnd from goverment service in very limited circumstances indeed _ My only dependance for living being on My son in the fourth Ind Battery If you can assist me in getting my money you will oblige me very much I would not have asked you at this time if I had any way or means that I could depend on for my living I expected to have returnd to gov service but have no means of replenishing my Wardrobe I will not be able to return untill next spring I have just returnd from Atlanta _ I expect to remain in Chicago this winter-
