Washington Dec'r 14 1864
Dr Sir:
Stephen Child Son of Benj'n of Calhoun, long on Palmers staff, wants a Com. in an Illinois regt. so as again to go on Palmers staff. He fought well throughout and was most favorably noticed in several reports.
