& Brother
We wish to call your
attention to one Milton
Smith a private in Co
F 26th Regiment Illinois
veteran volanteers who
has received two wounds
in the head he is unable
to do Military duty and
would have been discharge
by the order of Dr. Buck
but owing to an order for
the Transfer of 200 invalid
soldiers from Camp Butler
to Quincy he being one of
that number Now we
would fancy you to use
your influence to have
him discharge and sent
home as he can be better
cared for at home among
friends than he can be in
camps of the army
We have plenty of able
bodied men to finght
without keeping Such
wounded Soldiers in the
army We would refer
you to our poll books
as an evidence of the
amount of able bodied
men in our county and
also to the number of
men we [illegible]
