You are requested to inform this office whether Thomas A Knowles Co K 114 Ills Inf a patient in the General Hospt under your charge will probably be fit for duty in six or eight weeks; & if not, whether in your opinion he would be benefited by Transfer to General Hospt Camp Butler Ills.

Respectfully returned with the information that the within named man is fit for light duty in this hospital. and is doing light duty. (as nurse). He is not fit for field duty. neither will he be fit for field duty for some time to come. (will exceed six weeks). I think he would be benefited by a transfer to some more northern climate
